Heran Gebreyesus, MD

Dr. Gebreyesus is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in the advanced treatment and surgical management of cataracts and glaucoma, both of which are leading causes of vision loss in the United States. She has spent her career advocating for the use of innovative surgical technologies to prevent vision loss, and she provides compassionate care that emphasizes early detection, personalized treatment and patient education.

After serving as Chief Resident and earning multiple leadership accolades during her residency in Washington DC, Dr. Gebreyesus continued her surgical and medical training in glaucoma in Colorado. As a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, she remains deeply committed to the “human side” of medicine.

When Dr. Gebreyesus isn’t in the operating room or clinic, you can find her hiking, playing tennis, or cooking for friends and family.
